CityLab at Bridgewater State University (BSU) welcomes groups of students and their teachers to visit its state-of-the-art laboratory on the BSC campus for biotechnology enrichment programs during the school year. The goal of BSU CityLab faculty and staff is to provide a biotechnology learning experience that supplements and complements classroom curriculum.
The following modules are offered at BSU CityLab during the 2009-2010 school year (please click on each for a complete description):
Lab Larceny, most appropriate for high school Biology classes
Crucial Concentration*, most appropriate for middle school Science classes
Mystery of the Crooked Cell*, most appropriate for middle school Science classes
* Programs based on modules designed by BostonUniversitySchool of Medicine CityLab
Funding for BSU CityLab is provided by a Science Education Partnership Award (SEP) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bridgewater State College’s Center for the Advancement of Science Exploration (CASE) and the participation of several partner school districts. CityLab at Bridgewater State University is affiliated with the Boston University Medical School CityLab.
