There should always be a little bit of room for fun

My wife Pam has a web site is devoted to the idea that simple is usually better . She is an accomplished librarian, teacher of Spanish language and culture, and expert on information literacy.

Before coming to Bridgewater, I worked at The Wornick Company in McAllen, Texas, the leading producer of combat and humanitarian rations. I never expected to work for so long in the private sector, much less a defense contractor, but it was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. One of my projects was to help create the company's original web site, for which I did most of the writing and much of the design, but nothing as fancy as the current web site.

My wonderful mother-in-law has created a new site with humor, spiritual reflections, an online store, and a clever name -- AccordingToJudy!

I helped a friend set up a site for her business in Brockton, Massachusetts -- an accounting and bookkeeping company known as Easy Accounting Solutions .

I met Joyce Magee when the Web was very young (and I was a bit younger than I am now). She was one of the first Internet professionals I met, and she still does good work, based in Edinburg, Texas. Her web pages are very nicely designed and contain links to a lot of interesting and fun sites.

Another friend is Rex Bavousett, who was one of a handful of fellow environmental activists in the Rio Grande Valley when we lived there. He is now in Iowa, where he works on Western land issues and maintains his Rockin' Box web site.
