Preface
This presentation is aimed at beginning biochemistry students. Anyone who has some knowledge of the basics of protein structure should be able to follow this presentation. I would imagine that students who have completed (and understood!) a good chunk of the first semester of a typical undergraduate biochemistry course should do just fine here. For those of you requiring a refresher course in protein structure, you might want to take a look at my website entitled "Introduction to Protein Structure".
Important note: |
This presentation has been updated to use Jmol in place of the CHIME plugin used previously. The 3-D molecules critical for this presentation should appear automatically as long as your browser allows java/javascript applications. The older CHIME version can be found here, but it will not be maintained anymore. |
Lastly, I welcome any and all comments about this presentation. My email address is fgorga@bridgew.edu.
