About This Logo

My Ras logo is a "Richardson cartoon" of the Ras·GTP complex. The data comes from PDB entry: 6Q21. The graphic was prepared using RasMol and massaged using PaintShop Pro. The protein is colored by secondary structure (alpha helix, beta sheet, beta turns and random coils. The GTP (actually a GTP analog) is shown as a spacefilled model using standard cpk colors (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and phosphorous).
