Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Graduate School Registry.  This site invites undergraduate research students who are interested in attending graduate school to register into a database that will be accessible to graduate school programs across the country!  The purpose of this registry is to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience and a desire to pursue an advanced degree, and graduate schools seeking high quality students who are well prepared for research.  Currently the Registry is open to students and graduate schools/employers in the fields of Astronomy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geosciences, Engineering, Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology/Archaeology.
Join the American Chemical Society (ACS)! The ACS is THE professional organization for chemical scientists across the globe.  Membership includes a variety of benefits from education through employment, plus a subscription to Chemical & Engineering New (C&E NEWS).  Since our Chem Club is a student affiliate, the reduced membership fee for students is only $17.
C&E News Chemjobs.  Find your next chemistry job, pharmaceutical job, or biotech job at cen-chemjobs.org, the classifieds and careers site of Chemical & Engineering News. Chemjobs offers tools, resources, and expert career advice to help new and experienced chemists reach their professional goals.
CIRRUS - Chemistry Internet Resource for Research by Undergraduate Students.  This is a neat site for undergraduate researchers that contains a variety of useful links, including summer research fellowships, chemistry clubs, MSDS information, etc.

Searchable Science Databases
BSC Webster - The Maxwell Library on-line catalog. Go to the "Guide to Library Resources", and click on "Webster" on the left panel. Search for items in Maxwell Library's collections by keyword, title, author, subject heading, call number, or journal title.
BSC Science Databases. Go to the "Guide to Library Resources", and click on "Databases" on the left panel, then click on "Sciences". Three of the better Science Databases are summarized below.
(1) Science Direct. Articles from 175 journals published by Academic Press, predominantly in the sciences (biology; medicine; psychology). Since its commercial launch in 1999, ScienceDirect has evolved from a web database of Elsevier Science journals to one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature.(2) STN. Databases available are CA (Chemical Abstracts 1967-present), CAOLD (pre-1967 citations, limited coverage), and the Registry (a chemical structure and dictionary database). Hours of operation for searching are 5pm to 5am the following day, Monday through Friday; 5pm Friday till 6pm Saturday; 8am Sunday-5am the following Monday.
(3) Medline. The premier database for articles from medical journals from around the world. This version also contains the full text for 80 biomedical journals.
Other Science Databases on the Web
HighWire. As a research university with an excellent life science research faculty and an extraordinary medical school and hospitals, Stanford is vitally interested in the communication of research results. The journals HighWire supports correspondingly focus on science, technology, and medicine (STM) and are preponderantly among the highest-impact journals in the literature.
Scirus. Scirus is the most comprehensive science-specific search engine on the Internet. Driven by the latest search engine technology, Scirus searches over 150 million science-specific Web pages, enabling you to quickly pinpoint scientific, technical and medical data on the web; find the latest reports, peer-reviewed articles and journals; and locate university sites and scientists' home pages that other search engines miss. Scirus has proved so successful at locating science-specific results on the Web that the Search Engine Watch Awards voted Scirus 'Best Specialty Search Engine' in 2001 and 2002.
ACS Journals. This sites allows you to search all journals of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Unfortunately, ACS only provides access to citations. Not even the abstracts!
Green Chemistry Journal. Green Chemistry represents a key focus of my groups research. This journal was first published in 1999 and is searchable. The pdf files from 1997 to 2001 (inclusive) are available without charge.
