To make a reservation for BSC CityLab for the 2005-2006 academic year, begin by contacting either Kayla Pelchat or Michael Carson for a reservation form.

Complete forms should be mailed or faxed to:

BSC CityLab Reservations
Moakley Technology Center, Room 308
Bridgewater State College
Bridgewater, MA 02325

FAX: 508/531-6121

Please fill out a separate reservation form for each visit, unless the request is for multiple visits where the module requested, grade level and participating teacher are all the same.

Please keep in mind the following BSC CityLab Policies:

  • BSC CityLab can accommodate ONLY 24 students. Any exceptions to this policy should be discussed with the BSC CityLab Directors, Michael Carson and Meri Krevosky, prior to filling out the reservation form.
  • A certified teacher MUST be present in the laboratory with the participating class during their BSC CityLab visit.
  • BSC CityLab modules are designed to be led by the classroom teacher with technical assistance and materials provided by BSC CityLab. Pre-Lab preparation and Post-Lab follow-up may be required, often assisted through materials that we can provide.
  • To encourage new use by interested teachers, we may be able to provide a BSC CityLab educator to help lead the class for a teacher who has not yet been CityLab trained. If this option interests you, please contact the directors or our administrative assistant. Under this circumstance, the classroom teacher MUST accompany the students and be enthusiastic with this "on-site training" model.

We will send a confirmation letter to inform you of the BSC CityLab reservation date(s) for your classes. Reservations will be confirmed directly with the classroom teacher. The confirmation letter will provide additional details regarding your visit such as policies, procedures, directions, student permission slips and other pertinent information (also available on our website). If you have any questions, please contact our Program Coordinator Cathy Hart at (508) 531-2635 or by e mail at citylab@bridgew.edu.

Our goal at CityLab is to provide a biotechnology-learning laboratory that supplements and complements classroom curriculum. We strongly encourage teachers to become familiar with our hands-on activities and teaching philosophy prior to bringing students to BSC CityLab. If you are interested in a workshop or a class, please contact us.
