While South Africa (and Africa) consists of a lot more than just those animals, wildlife is an important part of the landscape. With a wide variety of indigenous animal life, the region has turned to this environmental feature to bring in needed tourist dollars. South Africa now has many Game Reserves and Game Parks (where hunting can take place); most have been established in the last ten years. Here are some giraffes in the Doubledrift Game Reserve which is in our municipality (Nkonkobe).
