Information Access and the Internet

 

Course Description:

This course provides continued development of skills in the use of telecommunications and the Internet.Advanced hands-on practice in using the Internet, ethical and legal issues related to responsible classroom use of the Internet and a wide variety of curriculum connections will be explored.

 

Outcomes:

Understand history of the internet and its resources, how the web works and how Bridgewater State College Webhost hosts studentsí homepages, how to design effective web pages, identify curriculum goals, plan learning activities, gather web-based resources, understand search engines, evaluate website for designing WebQuest.At the same time, we also discuss issues of copyright, assessment, equity and diverse learning needs.
