LOCAL HISTORY & MUSEUM

How often we overlook the rich history sitting right in our own backyards, and yet students of all ages love to learn about their particular time and place, their "local history." Taking advantage of the diverse towns and cities, each school district created a day-long field trip to local history sites and museums and then followed up with specific lesson plans geared to those sites - "their hometowns."
