INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Turning to the rich history of early nineteenth century industrialization in New England, we traveled to the Lowell National Park to observe, reenact, and witness the environs of the Lowell mills including the factory, the boarding house, and the town. With the park historians and educators, we then translated this experience into student-centered, engaged classroom activities.
