Perhaps as never before, the early twenty-first century calls for Americans to consider the United States? place on the global stage. In this module, we attempt to initiate and engage in this conversation from the critical perspective of the historian and educator. In close studies of some of the key turning points in post-World War II American foreign policy, we offer ways for teachers and students understand and reflect upon this question.
