Cost Avoidance: occurs when a more restrictive and costly placement is avoided due to appropriate placement in the Golden West classrooms.
Cost Savings: occur when the student, as a result of GW classroom interventions, is able to move to a less costly, less restrictive, educational placement. Savings are determined based on service cost one year after leaving the GW classroom(s).
