What IDEA ‘97 requires

• All students have access to “general curriculum” in MA Curriculum Frameworks

• All students participate in state and district-wide assessments

• Access to test accommodations where necessary and appropriate

• Alternate assessments when student cannot participate in statewide assessment tests even with accommodations
