Workplace Ideas
Simplify Your Life at Work
-
Telecommute if possible. You will save on travel time, gasoline, and auto
maintenance costs. And you'll spend less time with annoying co-workers
(if you have any).
-
Live near where you work. Cut commuting time, get to know your community,
and get a good work-out twice each day.
-
When thinking about accepting a promotion, consider whether the extra income
is worth the extra hassles. If you do take a promotion, consider negotiating
time off in lieu of some of the extra pay.
-
Don't always answer your phone, especially if you have voice mail or other
messaging service.
-
Make difficult phone calls (or do other difficult tasks) early in the day,
so that they are not worrying you the rest of the day.
