This assignment was about making a logo for a ficticious show or channel event and then adding animation to that logo.

I decided to make a logo for “sea week” on a channel geared towards preschool age children like pbs sprout or nick jr.. I began sketching logos with different sea creatures like fish, but in the end i decided i wanted to work with the octopus because for my motion i could have it grab the letters and put them into place.
I experimented with alot of different possible color schemes and choose the blue and orange for my final logo. I feel like the complimentary colors had a fun look that would pop off the screen and capture the attention of toddlers.

From doing this project i think i learned more about using after effects. I also learned to focus especially on gearing my logo towards my audience; which was more specific in this project than it has been in the past.
