 Bridgewater State College enjoys a strong and growing relationship with Cape Verde and the Cape Verdean community in Southeastern Massachusetts.

On the day of our departure, Dr. Dana Mohler-Faria, the college president, hosted a send-off for those who would be traveling from Bridgewater. About half of our group enjoyed brunch with the president and stories of BSC's first Cape Verde tour, which the president himself had led in January 2005.

The rest of our group met us at Logan airport, where the TACV (Cape Verde's national airline) staff provided great assistance to our group of 20 travelers.
