Description of Sample
Selection
The sample population selected for this study consisted of 2 intermediate-grade students
with language learning disabilities (LLD), who received speech and
language services through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The students were selected based on
having a diagnosis of LLD, as indicated by previous formal test measures
in the areas of word recognition, reading comprehension, listening
comprehension, and language. They were not diagnosed with a concomitant
intellectual impairment.
