The Math Coach Program


As part of Bridgewater State College's efforts to ensure that students who score poorly on their initial math placement tests can gain the skills they need to complete any major, the Academic Achievement Center and the Math Department have worked together to institute a Math Coaching program. Math Coaches are undergraduate students (usually education majors) who sit in on "targeted" lectures. During the week they are available to help students with the material covered in lecture.

The coaching sessions of the Math Coaches will be listed below along with their locations in the Academic Achievement Center. For students who need help beyond the scheduled Coaching and office hours, Mathematics Services is open on weekdays for walk-in tutoring for all math subjects.
