As an advisor, teacher and friend throughout my college career (1992-96), Dr. Glenn Miller was an influence and inspiration to many as well as myself. It is because of him that my career path has gone the direction it has. He believed in me, reassured me of my capabilities, and encouraged me to strive for what was passionate to me the most. He was attentive to his students' needs and interests, as well as having an interest in learning about students as individuals. His passion and compassion is what separated him from other professors at Bridgewater State. Dr. Miller was so smart, energetic and entertaining. His courses were always enjoyable, from the basics of Human Geography to the fun-filled trip to the AAG Conference in Chicago. He was a wonderful, giving man. I am privileged to be able to call him a friend and feel blessed knowing how lucky I am because he was a part my life. I hope in death that his inspiration will live in all those who met and loved Dr. Miller, and we are better people because of his positive influence.
