I was absolutely devastated on hearing the news of Dr. Miller's passing.
Unfortunately, I did not find out right away about the news. Fortunately, with
the comforting words from Dr. Domingo and Dr. Clark I was able to get through the
week. His unique combination of: professionalism, passion, drive,
ambition and sense of humor always ensured a thorough and enjoyable period of
instruction. Although Political Science was my chosen major, Dr.
Miller helped me to realize that Geography was a perfect minor to complement
my concentration of International Affairs. Dr. Miller was very accessible and
always found time to spend time with a student in need of help. Since I was an
adult student and Marine Corps veteran I was fortunate enough to share a
special friendship and bond with Dr. Miller. I believe that we were both very
intrigued by one another and shared some very spirited conversations about so
many topics and subject areas. I will miss him ! greatly and think about
him often.
