International: Camp Fire USA

At the 2002 Convention, the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority delegates voted to establish a collaborative relationship with Camp Fire USA as a major new element of our camping philanthropy. Camp Fire USA is one of the nation's leading not-for-profit youth development organizations, serving over 650,000 participants annually. Founded in 1910 and headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Camp Fire provides all-inclusive, coeducational programs in hundreds of communities across the United States. As part of Gamma Phi Beta's commitment to this relationship, the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation will provide grants to Camp Fire USA for young girls who otherwise would not be able to attend camp.

Mr. Greek: This male Greek beauty pageant brings out the competitive side of the male members of the Greek Community at Bridgewater State College. Male Greeks from each fraternity compete for the title of Mr. Greek. The categories are Letters, Toga, Talent, and Formal. Each contestant is coached by team of Gamma Phi Beta sisters that are dedicated to doing their best to help their subject win.  Mr. Greek is a lot of fun and the proceeds go to a great cause... Camp Fire USA.

Local: Children's Physical Development Clinic at BSC

Children's Physical Development ClinicFor more than 30 years, Bridgewater State College has sponsored the Children's Physical Developmental Clinic, a nationally recognized academic program that fosters professional development, community service, and leadership qualities.  The CPDC affords students from all majors a challenging opportunity for volunteering as clinicians to work with children and youth with disabilities between the ages of 18 months to 18 years. The aim of the clinic program is to improve the "total development" of children with disabilities by enhancing vital physical, motor, and aquatic skills and patterns.  In addition, the program stresses the improvement of self-esteem of children by strengthening emotional-social aspects of their personalities through successful involvement in play, recreation and sport activities.

Rock A Thon: This is a time for the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta to sit back and rock! For this Philanthropy, each Gamma Phi takes a turn rocking in a rocking chair on the Campus center steps for 24 hours. We raise money by donations collected! All Proceeds From the Rock-A-Thon go to Gamma Phi Beta's Local Philanthropy.
