Welcome! I am a professor of chemistry at Bridgewater State College in southeastern Massachusetts. I have a B. S. in Biology from Adelphi University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College. I did post-doctoral work at Harvard University. All the gory details can be found in my curriculum vitae and list of publications, if you really must know. I teach mainly biochemistry and a course titled "Computers in Chemistry" but also a smattering of other courses on occasion. In addition to formal teaching, I do research with students and I develop web sites containing "3-D" molecular structures (originally based on CHIME but now based on Jmol) on a number of biochemical topics. (See the "Molecule Sites" menu item to the left.) Outside of work, I am a serious amateur photographer and I enjoy exploring the great outdoors mainly by canoe and kayak. |
