Majoring in communication opens not just one door, but many. When someone asks, "What can I do with a communication major?" the answer is "almost anything you want!."

Employers are looking for people who are effective communicators. They can teach you the specific skills that you will need for a job; they can't teach you how to communicate. And so with a major in Communication Studies, you will be the ideal employee! You will know how to work in small groups, how to deliver presentations, how to work with others. You will be the person for whom they are looking!

With a major in communication studies, there are a multitude of jobs for which you will be equipped. The (insert name of source of this information - National Communication Association, perhaps, ) has prepared a listing of possible jobs. (link to that listing).

To learn more about particular jobs, and to gain practical experience in the field, our majors often do internships. Here are some of the internships with which our students have been involved. If you are a Communication Studies major, and are interested in an internship, see Dr. Litvin.

If you know of any interesting Web sits that should be included, please send us an e-mail.
