contents at the left lists the different periods into which New England
archaeologists generally divide prehistory. Each period has various
diagnostic projectile point types that are characteristic of the time
period.
Each of these diagnostic types listed at
left is linked to an image of some typical examples of the point. To view
the images, click on the point name that is listed in red. The projectile
point you have chosen will be displayed. If you have access to a printer,
print the page for study.
