Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy, now has a chapter here at BSC.  The National Executive Council of Phi Sigma Tau unanimously endorsed our petition, and this endorsement was ratified by a vote of the Society's active chapters across the country.  Officially, Bridgewater State College now has the "Massachusetts Eta" Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, joining six other colleges in the state and around 160 nationwide.

Students do not need to be philosophy majors or minors to be eligible.  The eligibility requirements are:

• must have attained sophomore standing
• must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2
• must have completed, or be currently enrolled in, two courses in philosophy, and have attained at least a B average (3.0) in all philosophy classes.
