Focus Questions: Gardner on "Moving On," "Are college Seniors Prepared to Work?" (for 2/1/99)

Focus questions:

  1. What emotional effects can graduates expect in the year after leaving college?
  2. What are the fundamental life changes that are involved in leaving college, and how do they affect men and women?
  3. What are the most important skills or factors in successful work performance, according to the Rand study?
  4. How well are students prepared in those important areas?
  5. What are the weak areas for liberal arts graduates, and in what areas are students least prepared for work?
