Story to a QuickTime File

 The file size of your finished news story will be too big to e-mail unless we compress the file down to a manageable size.  

1. Click File --> export --> to quick time movie.

2. A ‘save’ dialog box will prompt you to name your file and save it to a specific location on your hard drive.

3. Name your file as “News story_your_name.mov”

4. Click the ‘options…’ button. A ‘movie settings’ dialog box appears. 

5. Click the ‘settings…’ button in the video category.  The ‘export size settings’ dialog box appears.

6. Change height and width settings from 720 x 480 to 320 x240.

7. Change ‘compression quality’ to ‘low’.  Press ‘OK’.

8. Press save to export your video (may take a few minutes).
