BSC CityLab is located on the campus of Bridgewater State College.  BSC CityLab acknowledges the strong support of the College's administration for its continuing success as a biotechnology learning laboratory for pre-college students and teachers. 

Many campus groups and individuals made possible the establishment of BSC CityLab, in 1996, as a satellite of the original CityLab at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Originally housed within the Department of Biological Sciences, BSC CityLab has enjoyed many successful years promoting science partnership activities for pre-service and in-service teachers and their students. In May of 2006, the administration of BSC CityLab was moved to the newly established BSC Center for the Advancement of Science Exploration (CASE).  In announcing the new academic Center, BSC President Dana Mohler-Faria stated the mission of CASE:  to promote and improve science interest and literacy for students in grades 5-12, pre-service and in-service teachers, and members of the college community and the community at large.

As CASE continues to establish its presence on campus, BSC CityLab remains its cornerstone program and continues working to improve outcomes and increase science enthusiasm among diverse students in Southeastern MA.
